EXPLORATORIUM

STUDENT PROJECT

The Game Science Center in Berlin is a museum which invites visitors to play unique, interactive computer games. The brief was to re-brand their identity to better attract visitors and the prevailing concept behind my solution was movement—reflecting the distinctive way in which the centre invites people to play its games.

“The Exploratorium” name was chosen to reflect the experience of visitors discovering a range of unique games. The logo uses rounded curves and varying character positions in order to be inviting and charismatic. The characters can be stacked or the X used alone as a brandmark, depending on where its to be used. Other graphical elements are designed to contribute further to a sense of interactivity and fun—contrasting colours, gradients and graphical elements “escaping” from the media.
