YOUTHHOOD 2 ADULTHOOD (Y2A)

Youthhood 2 Adulthood (Y2A) is an online resource intended to educate and empower young people aged between 15 and 25 in their journey towards independence.

The brief was to develop an entire visual identity including logo, typography, photography, illustrations, icons, graphic elements and social media templates for this new start-up.

The logo’s central ‘2’ represents the path from youthhood to adulthood, emblematic of the brand’s mission, and was intended as a graphic device which could be integrated into their photography. Whilst Y2A’s subject matter covers big issues such as substance abuse, mental health and money matters it is delivered in a welcoming and constructive way. This is supported by the brand’s colourful palette, confident and diverse imagery and positive messaging. Concentric circles and gradients are intended to imply growth and development whilst bold fonts and thick line weights are intended to embolden the target demographic.
